The company name THORN Consulting is a salute to my brother Jim, one of my nine siblings! A brilliant change agent, Jim founded a healthcare management consultancy named Thorn Enterprises. Lost suddenly in 2009 at the age of 47, Jim built a gem of a business helping healthcare facilities remove their operational thorns, while brightening their bottom lines. (His company shared operational savings with clients, a model THORN Consulting embraces for our media planning and buying services.)
